 The Outreach Program Third Annual Feed the Need
Ending Hunger. Enriching Lives. Half of the children in Okaloosa and Walton County schools receive free or reduced price lunches, indicating that parents are struggling to feed their families.

Over 1,000 volunteers will fill Gregg Chapel, working in groups of 10, to assemble meal packages that will feed a family of five. The packages are then boxed and distributed to organizations like Sharing and Caring, Catholic Charities, Harvest House, Striving for Perfection Ministries, Children In Crisis and other food pantries.

Free Yoga classes will be held each Sunday at 10 am at Community Maritime Park starting February 3rd and are open to all ages and levels of experience. At the clinics, the children go through five mandatory skill stations: Casting, Knot Tying, Fishing Tackle, Ethical Angling, and Touch Tank. After approximately one hour of instruction, children will receive a free rod and reel (compliments of local sponsors, while supplies last) and, if conditions allow, will have the opportunity to fish (catch and release only). All participants must be accompanied by an adult. Registration for the clinic will begin at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event. Participants are encouraged to bring sunscreen, bag lunch, and water.

Holiday Party: All parties are 6-8pm (Holiday Party begins at 4pm). Bring a $3 donation and a dessert to share. We will host seven parties this year with dinner, dancing and dessert. Thank you to all of our volunteers, participants and caregivers for their continued support. Also a huge thanks to Nova Community Center and Samsula Lodge for providing us with great facilities an volunteers.
